Scratch

What it is

20141125_174954Scratch is designed especially for ages 8 to 16, but is used by people of all ages. With Scratch, you can program your own interactive stories, games, and animations — and share your creations with others in the online community.

Scratch helps young people learn to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively — essential skills for life in the 21st century.1

AMI has used Scratch to teach programming skills to students across its maths camps, mini maths camps and Amagoro camps. It’s drag and drop interface means students can go from knowing nothing about computers to creating their own games in a few sessions!
