Programming with Maseno University Maths Club

On 6 November 2014 we were at Maseno University delivering a session on programming in Python to the Maths Club students. The session was attended by students in both first year and and third year.

The third year students, who have some experience of a course in Python were writing their own quizzes and programs in Python, while others were doing programming for the first time in their life! Despite their lack of experience, the first year students quickly picked up the basic concepts and were able to start writing their own Python programs.

After the session, many students were interested in learning more programming in Python. We agreed to hold more Python sessions with the Maths Club and also distributed some of our favourite free resources for learning Python so that students can also continue independently.
