Sharing Initiatives in Maths Education

Lazarus Kioko

Edison-36I am an AMI intern who is interested in the practical application of mathematics in everyday life. I graduated with a degree in BSc (Mathematical Sciences with IT) from Maseno University, Kenya, where I came to learn about AMI and was interested in joining its mission to create a stronger culture of mathematics in Africa.

Currently, I am focusing on the growth of my software development skills by working on the African Data Initiative, specifically on the development of R-Instat and climsoft softwares.

I am also passionate about the use of technology in mathematics education, and hence enjoying to work on math camps, school outreach, statistics workshops and the electronic courseware for undergraduate mathematics projects at AMI.
